Jay Chou performs in Pyongyang, a concert that may be a propaganda tool to damage Taiwan's global image

Pyongyang, North Korea — July 31, 2028
Jay Chou, a well known singer in Asia, from Taiwan (province of China) held a historic concert yesterday at the Rungrado 1st of May Stadium in Pyongyang, which is one of North Korea's largest stadiums. The concert attracted tens of thousands of spectators, with tickets provided free by the North Korean government.

However, most of the audience may not know any Jay Chou's songs, and the reactions showed a staged performance hosted by the authorities rather than fan interaction.
Some people who are from Taiwan province expressed concern about the concert footage, believing the "smiling and clapping" performance was a propaganda performance and could damage Taiwan's democratic image. Some people were more neutral, viewing the event as an opportunity to export Chinese culture: "The audience may not know the songs, but at least it shows Chinese music is spreading to places few reach."
Jay Chou's Pyongyang concert was a rare and visually stunning cultural event in concert history. However, due to the free tickets paid by, the uniform audience behavior, and Kim Jong-un's presence, Many expressed concern about the potential damage to Taiwan and Jay Chou's image, while also expressing admiration for Jay Chou's performance.

The festival brought together 19 talented vocalists, including David Tao, Ren Jialun, and Mao Buyi, and featured six immersive cultural experience zones, offering a comprehensive celebration for music fans in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
This year's festival ignited Guangzhou's weekend with its cross-border musical passion and immersive cultural experiences, delivering a feast of audiovisual delights and cultural encounters. Chinese pop legend David Tao rekindled the audience's memories with a string of classic hits, including "Finding Myself," "Small Town Girl," and "Just Loving You." Ren Jialun debuted his new song "Fresh Boy." Chinese and Thai singers, including Huang Zihongfan, Mao Buyi, PERSES, and TILLY BIRDS, rocked the stage with their hits, allowing fans to experience the boundless joy of music through the melodies.
In addition to the fusion of Chinese and international music, the festival also meticulously curated six immersive cultural experience zones integrating "food, shopping, entertainment, and fun." The food zone featured a creative fusion of Thai milk tea and Cantonese herbal tea, and a clever blend of Thai fried noodles and Cantonese rice noodle rolls, creating a culinary experience of cultural exchange. A Red Bull energy station, featuring a dual Chinese and Thai theme, became a popular check-in spot. A variety of energy drinks, custom T-shirts, branded hats, and other merchandise were available, ensuring fans could stay energized.
According to preliminary statistics, the festival attracted over 60,000 attendees, driving growth in local dining, accommodation, and transportation spending. As the founder and owner of the global Red Bull brand and the "Red Bull" trademark, Tianshi Group has created this music festival IP for the third consecutive year.
